What bet- ter time of year then to reflect on another terrific season of golf in Ireland and to highlight some standout performers from 2018. In order to do just that, we here at Irish Golfer Magazine thought we'd sit down and compile a list of Irish achieve- ments from a stellar year for our swingers, both at home and abroad. We reached out to all of our Irish Golfer contributors and had them select who they felt deserved most recognition. Wherever these players competed and no matter who they represented, they did so with a level of professionalism and swagger that made them a joy to cover throughout the year. It's nice to be able to mark such memorable occa- sions with an award at the end of it and it's a credit to the standard of golf on our humble island that the cate- gories proved so close to call. Having mulled over the winners, reminisced over the remarkable golf on display this season and compiled this, our final year's digital edition, we hope you enjoy it, have a peaceful, golf-filled festive season and are well rested to do it all over again next year.
