Peter Finnan, on behalf of the team P eter Lawrie pulled out all the stops with 2020 Ryder Cup Captain Padraig Harrington on hand to officially open the Spawell Golf Acade- my, which has been closed for a number of months following a land purchase. The facility has received a to- tal makeover under Lawrie and relaunched to the market as the Spawell Golf Academy - a new home to some of Ireland's top teaching professionals includ- ing Colm Moriarty, Brendan McDaid, Tim Rice and David Keating. The reopening of this historic venue is significant for the lo- cal area and it will undoubted- ly prove popular with golfers, particularly with the introduc- tion of Top Tracer technology in April which will add another dimension for golfers looking to get more feedback on their practice sessions or even just to have some fun with friends. From the team at Irish Golfer, we wish Peter and all at Spawell Golf Academy the best of luck with the venture. With special of- fers flying out the door already, the Academy is open for busi- ness now and given the lack of talent in this office, we promise to visit regularly!
