WEDNESDAY 17.2.16 SUBSCRIBE W here to start when describing week three on Niall Turners bag...The 3 hour taxi journeys to drive 10kms from the hotel to the course, the millions of hungry mos- quitoes eager for some prime Irish beef, or maybe the food that was like chewing on fire... that sums up my Dhaka experience, the capital city of Bangladesh. After a week in relatively peaceful surroundings in Myanmar, the contrast at the Bangla- desh Open couldn't have been more evident. Dhaka is nothing short of insanity, but this is not a Lonely Planet article, so back to discussing golf. The tournament itself was well or- ganized and the first two days teeing it up with the local favourite, Siddukur Rahman meant that all eyes were on our group. His little army of fol- lowers were quite the spectacle and Niall gained a new followers after he handed Siddukur's nephew a shiny new ProV1 during the round. (Note: He has yet to give me a golf ball... Niall??!) Niall (or Neil as the tee box an- nouncers like to call him) fought back well on day two, after an opening 73. Apart from a momentary lapse of concentration on the 8th green (his 17th), in which he four putted, it Kenneth Quillinan talks of week three on the bag with Ireland's Niall Turner on the Asian Tour. thE cADDY joUrNEY coNtiNUES
