WEDNESDAY 4.5.16 SUBSCRIBE AGENDA I n a recent chat with Seamus Power he told me, ''This season has been steady so far, but is still not as good as I would like it to be. I am having some very satisfying rounds, but just not putting all four together yet. Hopefully this will happen soon''. Thankfully, the 28-year-old Dungarvan native didn't have to wait too long for it to happen, and his incredible final round 67 on Sun- day last was enough to clinch the United Leasing & Finance Championship on the Tour, by one stroke. Posting the only bogey free round on Sunday (a 5 par under 67), Power became the first Irishman to ever win on the Tour with his birdie on the 17th enough to see him through as his nearest competitors Roger Sloan and Cody Gribble both bogeyed each of the closing two holes. Can this victory secure an Irish Open dream come true for Seamus Power? By Kenneth Quillinan POWER PICKS UP MAIDEN WIN ON WEB.COM TOUR
