Following a year of intense match ups and hours spent on the local driving range, the hard work all culminates in what's sure to be an epic finale on the Mark O'Meara designed golf course and we can't wait to get out and watch it. It cannot be over-emphasised just how crucial these events are to everyone involved in club golf. They empower players with a sense of affiliation to their respec- tive clubs like no other tournament and time and time again, have proved a platform to develop as a golfer, as so many past champi- ons have gone on to great things in the game. The significance of the champi- onships should never be lost on us. They are held in the highest regard, with every club around the country hell bent on securing one of these elusive Irish titles. Beginning today with the semi-fi- nals of the AIG Barton Shield and the AIG Junior Cup, the All-Ire- land Finals run until Saturday when the AIG Jimmy Bruen Shield and the AIG Senior Cup will be decided there promises to be plenty of drama on the fairways and greens of Carton House. If you have never experienced the atmosphere before pop in, you won't be disappointed.
